RAJJO FOUNDATION

RAJJO FOUNDATION is a Somali-led non-profit dedicated to empowering future generations through education, cultural preservation, and environmental stewardship. Based in Copenhagen, Nairobi, and Garowe, we are committed to protecting and uplifting the Somali people, the land, and the sea.

RAJJO FOUNDATION, founded by Danish-born Somali Yaxye Abdifatah Ali, builds on his almost decade of experience in community leadership, political engagement, and board work with major humanitarian and social organizations.

MISSION STATEMENT

RAJJO Foundation is dedicated to empowering Somali communities by nurturing future generations through accessible education, preserving Somali history and culture, and protecting our natural environment. We work to prevent land degradation and erosion, safeguard coastal ecosystems, develop sustainable irrigation systems, and advance renewable energy solutions, all while digitizing Somali heritage for generations to come. Through strong partner-ships with local communities, diaspora networks, and government bodies, we aim to build resilient, thriving communities connected to both their roots and the future.

VISION

We see a Somalia powered by renewable energy, enriched by its cultural heritage, and driven by empowered, educated communities.
